How We Learn:
Elementary children have hearts that are ready and open to knowing God. With guidance, they can begin to ask, ‘How do I fit into God’s story?’ Elementary children are highly influenced by watching others.
What We Do:
Our elementary ministry is designed to partner with you, honoring God’s plan for sharing our faith from one generation to the next. We maximize the way children learn by using a large/small group format.
Sundays (during all worship services):
Children begin in worship with their families to give them the chance to observe and participate with their faith community. Interactive, hands-on learning follows in their space to help them understand their place in God’s story with his people.
Optional: You are welcome to walk with your child and observe the learning environment to help your child transition.
Wednesdays (September – April): Our fun continues in the South Campus kid’s space at 6:30 pm with small group experiences as we learn to think, act and be like Jesus. Register now!
Wednesdays also offer the opportunity for your K-4th grader to serve. Every other week, our Cokesbury Kids ministry pack bags for Food for Kids – a partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank and Knox County Schools – to provide healthy foods for kids to take home on weekends, when they don’t have school meals available to them.
